Originally from Worcester, MA, Rick graduated from Assumption College with a BA in Natural Science, and later from Boston University Dental School with a DMD degree. He moved to Vermont in 1987, the same year he married his wife Maria. He worked in Woodstock, VT and White River Junction, VT for ten years before partnering with Mark in 1998.
Rick and Maria have two children, Alex and Mikayla. Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and also likes camping, fishing, and being outdoors. He is happy to serve the community one smile at a time!
Tara grew up in Sharon, Vermont and graduated from Hartford High School. She earned a BS in Neuroscience from St. Lawrence University and attended the University Of Buffalo School Of Dental Medicine where she received her DDS in 2011. She then spent a year completing a general practice residency at the Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, Maine.
Tara married her High School sweetheart Anthony. They have a daughter, Ava and a miniature dachshund Fenway. Since both Tara and Anthony grew up in the Upper Valley, they spend lots of time with their extended families.
Tara looks forward to the opportunity to serve the Upper Valley community ever day and enjoys meeting all patients age 1-101.
A native of New York City, Mark attended Hofstra University in Long Island, where he graduated with a B.A. in Biology. After completing his undergraduate studies, he studied at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. A few years after receiving his degree in general dentistry, he moved to White River Junction where he set up his own dental practice in 1974, and he has been working at this family dental office ever since.
Mark currently resides in Quechee, Vermont, with his beautiful wife, Lorraine, and their daughter, Cierra. He has a son, Rahm, from his first marriage, and two grandchildren, Judah and Alexis. He is also step-father to Lorraine’s children, Chelsea and Sage. Family has always been an important part of his life, and he takes great pride in serving families in the Upper Valley.
When Mark is not at the office, he enjoys oil painting, landscape gardening (you should see his backyard!), reading, movies, and TV. He also loves to travel, and has ventured through Central America, all across the United States, Europe and Asia, and has made three trips to Israel.
Mark is a friendly, approachable dentist with a great sense of humor and love of people (and teeth). Always with a smile, he is happy to provide a warm, welcoming family practice for people of all ages.
Ashley Anderson hails from Chester, Vermont, where she graduated from Green Mountain High School in 2006. Ashley was hired in 2007 as our Sterilization Assistant and once she entered the field of dentistry, there was no stopping her. Ashley became licensed as a dental assistant and worked with both Drs. Klampert and Schramm for several years. To complete her dream to continue in the dental field, Ashley enrolled in Vermont Technical College's Dental Hygiene School. After graduating in 2015, Ashley became part of our Hygiene team. When she is not sharing her love of dentistry, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and exercising to stay strong and fit.
Carol grew up in Cape Cod, and then lived for 22 years on the coast of Maine before traveling in-land. Her love of science and meeting people led to an interest in Dental Hygiene.
She is a UVM graduate; earning Associate Degrees in both Science and Dental Hygiene.Carol has two grown children and one grandchild who live in California. When she is not traveling to visit them, Carol enjoys the outdoors and participates in many sports from snowshoeing and Cross-country skiing in the winter, to hiking and bicycling in the spring and summer.
Carol enjoys learning new techniques via continuing education classes, and in turn, educating and visiting with her patients.
Elsa is a life-long Upper Valley resident. She grew up in Canaan, NH. After graduating High School, she attended Granite State College and obtained her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.
If Elsa seems familiar to you, it is because she first worked at our office in 2006 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She was in charge of Sterilization and assisted both Dr. Klampert and Dr. Schramm as well as the Hygiene team. Elsa’s interest in continuing her education in the dental field led her to Vermont Technical College, where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene in May 2010.
Just a she promised, Elsa returned to our office in June 2011, and we are very excited to have her as part of our Dental Hygiene Team.
Elsa and her husband Don enjoy spending their down time with family. Elsa’s daughter Annaleigh attends Hartford High School, and plays Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Basketball. Baby Jack will join the family in the late-spring, early summer of 2017!
Growing up with a nurse as a mother and a chronically ill father, Sheena was introduced at an early age to the art of caring for people. Her passion for helping others learn to improve their health and well being grew and grew. After being accepted into a dental hygiene program as a senior in high school, Sheena got a jump start on her career starting as a dental assistant at a local dental office. She immediately fell in love with the technical aspects of the job and delighted in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable while at the dental office.
Sheena graduated with an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Vermont Technical College in 2007. While working as a hygienist, she then went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Wellness & Alternative Medicine from Johnson State College in 2012. The following year Sheena became a certified Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist.
Over 10 years later, Sheena loves her role as a dental hygienist more than ever and feels very lucky to be working with such a great team here at White River Dentist! When Sheena is not at the office, you can usually find her teaching yoga, hiking a mountain, out in her gardens or with her family and friends. Sheena and her husband live in Bradford VT with their two rascally cats.
Tara is a native Vermonter who grew up in West Topsham, VT. She graduated from Oxbow High School in Bradford in 1992 and from the UVM Dental Hygiene Program in 1994.
Tara lives in Ryegate with her husband Troy and three children; Alaura, Bailey and Princetta and two miniature Schnauzers.
Tara enjoys being outdoors; she and her family go camping, hunting, fishing, kayaking, skiing and snowshoeing.
Her favorite part of being a Hygienist is learning about her patients. She enjoys talking about their families and hearing their life stories.
Beth was raised in Windsor, VT and went to Windsor High School, graduating in 1984. Over the years of raising four wonderful boys, she discovered a passion for power lifting, boxing and hiking year round.
She began as a dental assistant many years ago and has been with White River Dentist since August 2015.
Beth enjoys the best things in life; her family, grandchildren, being outside and experiencing new adventures.
Manya is a Lebanon native. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1996 and then attended Laconia Technical College, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design. Manya started her dental career working as an Oral Surgeon Assistant and has been a Dental Assistant for the past seven years. Her favorite part of the job is chatting with the patients and making them feel comfortable and confident with their treatment.
In the summer, Manya enjoys spending her off time camping with her husband Brian and their beloved Persian Mooshy Pie. In the winter you can find her snuggled up with a good book or in the garage working on a carpentry project. Either way it’s all about family and fun for her.
Saraha (pronounced Sarah) has been Dr. Klampert’s chairside assistant since April 2009. After meeting licensing requirements, Saraha received her Dental Assistants license in June 2009. She then traveled to Tufts University where she completed the Dental Radiology course. She loves working with Dr. Klampert, especially when assisting with periodontal surgery and complicated extractions because she feels she can be the most helpful in providing the highest quality of comfort for their patients.
Saraha is the mother of one daughter, enjoys hiking with her family and was once the lead singer in a local rock band. She is very energetic and cheerful and loves answering any questions that her patients may have regarding their dental health.
Mikayla was raised in White River Junction, VT with her parents and older brother Alex. Yes she is the dentist's daughter, and with that she has appreciated the work, detail, and passion her father puts into his every day work with our team.
She first began as a Sterilization assistant during her years in high school and since graduating from college has returned to learn even more about the world of dentistry.
Anthony was raised in Hartford, VT and graduated from Hartford High School in 2003. He continued his education, receiving a Bachelors degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in 2007. Dr. Tara made Anthony the luckiest guy in the world by agreeing to marry him in 2010; they were High School sweethearts.
When Anthony is not working, he enjoys spending much of his free time outdoors hunting, fishing and hiking.
Anthony enjoys learning more about the dental field and being part of the team here at White River Dentist. He strives to ensure our office runs as effectively as possible.
Katelyn joined our team in February of 2018. She was born and raised in Sharon, Vermont and graduated from The Sharon Academy in 2010.
She is always very busy, as she currently has three jobs, including the one here full-time as a scheduling coordinator. On weekends, she works at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as a unit support assistant on the cardiac unit, and a couple days a week she coaches at Northern Lights Gymnastics, working with kids of all ages.
Katelyn lives in Windsor, VT with her fiancé Robbie and their Siberian husky/arctic wolf mix, Max. Right now, they are in the middle of searching for a piece of land in Vermont to build their forever home on, as well as trying to plan a wedding.
You may think that Katelyn looks very familiar, and that would be because she and Dr. Symancyk are sisters! Katelyn feels very fortunate to be able to work alongside her older sister.
Lynn Monarque, a New Jersey native, moved to Vermont in 2004. She and her husband Rick have been married since 1976; they have two children and three grandsons.
Lynn’s favorite part of her job is chatting with patients. She enjoys getting to know them and their families. Her calm demeanor and ready smile are reasons why patients often linger to visit with Lynn long after their appointments have ended!
Lynn and Rick enjoy their weekends together hiking, snowshoeing and spending time with their grandsons. They also enjoy day-trips visiting new and familiar parts of New England.
Lori is a lifetime resident of the Upper Valley. She is a 1977 graduate of Hartford High School
(National Honor Society) and a 1978 graduate of the Rochester (NY) Dental Assistants School. She started her dental career as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant before joining with Drs. Klampert and Schramm in April 1982 as Office Manager. Lori is an active member of AADOM (American Association of Dental Office Management).
As the Office Manager, Lori oversees all aspects of keeping the office and business running smoothly and is the office's OSHA and HIPAA coordinator. Lori is also a Registered Dental Assistant and loves when she gets the opportunity to help out chair side.
Lori's door is always open to answer your insurance, billing, treatment planning and other dental questions. She is a Certified Health Care Billing Specialist and will work with you to maximize your dental insurance benefits as well as assisting with your healthcare finance.
Lori has two sons-John and Jason, who are both away at college. To avoid "empty nest syndrome" Lori enjoys reading, spending time with her family and finding new recipes to make for family meals. She and her fiance Donny enjoy exploring and traveling to the southwest, where they hope to retire in 2029!
