A dentist must document completion of 30 hours of professional education courses for every two-year licensing period.
Hygienists must complete 15 credits or hours in clinical or didactic dental or dental hygiene subject areas. The remaining three credits or hours may be taken in non-scientific areas appropriate to the practice of dental hygiene.
Assistants are trained in emergency office procedures and are registered with the state.
Our entire staff is CPR certified by the American Heart Association. We are all fully trained in AED use as well.
We frequently take full-day courses to improve our techniques or to master a new technology. Periodically, we host 2 hour educational seminars for the whole staff, or receive full day, in-office/hands-on training when our dental software is updated.
Our hygienists and assistants enjoy hands-on courses which allow them to implement the most current techniques for a variety of procedures.
Education for the office staff includes courses for insurance, coding, collection and other patient interaction techniques.
Occasionally, we may close the office for a course which the whole staff attends. We will always provide an emergency contact if we are out of town and unavailable for your dental needs.
